DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively manage and develop a portfolio of accounts within the designated sales area with the objective of growing the sales and profitability of the business.
- Plan visits and make regular appointments with potential, new, and existing customers to gain repeat orders and uncover new leads. This plan should allow for one, or more, office/home office day per week, with the objective of an average of four days in the Ashby office per month.
- Proactively develop new business in terms of increased sales to existing customers and targeting new potential customers
- Take full responsibility for the commercial activity of the sales area, liaising with existing and potential customers regarding pricing and availability.
- Where appropriate provide guidance to the internal team particularly in respect of pricing.
- Work closely with both the Sales Manager/Internal Sales Manager/Business Manager where applicable to determine an agreed sales strategy to achieve the area budget.
- Ensure regular communication with other departments including Technical, Business Development, Product Group, Supply Chain and Credit Management to service the requirements of new and existing customers as appropriate

Use CRM, BI and ERP tools to manage and coordinate all activity within the designated sales area including:
A) Quotes
B) Opportunities
C) Visit Reports
D) Samples
E) Technical Enquiries
F) Quality Issues / NCRs
G) Competitor Activities
It is expected that this will be achieved through regular team meetings so that information can shared effectively within the team. - As required, provide a summary report of area sales performance against targets, competitor activity, market information and general sales-related information.
- Provide sales forecasts and sales budgets where requested.
- Develop personal knowledge of the company's products and attend training as required.
- Provide opinion regarding the credit worthiness of companies visited, making recommendations to the credit control department as appropriate and reporting any adverse information concerning any customer.
- Facilitate meetings between credit management and customers as appropriate, if required.
- Facilitate customer visits for Company Suppliers as requested.

From: £40,000 P/A
